Privacy policy

This policy explains what data AstroPredict collects, why, how long it is kept, who it is shared with, and how to exercise your rights. It applies to the website astro-predict.com and to the Zodiac Intelligence space it gives access to.

Who is responsible for your data

The data we use

  • Your account: first name, email address, password (stored in an encrypted form that cannot be read back), how you would like to be addressed (feminine, masculine or neutral), your language.
  • Your birth data: date, time and place of birth, and those of the people you add in Zodiac Intelligence. They are used to calculate charts.
  • Your questions and the answers you receive, your reports and your personalised horoscopes.
  • Your orders: products, amounts, dates, invoices. Your payment is processed by our provider Stancer: we never see your card number.
  • Audience measurement: pages viewed, length of visit, the site or app you came from, the country and city derived from your IP address, and the type of device, operating system and browser (without their version). Your IP address and your browser’s full identifier are never stored: they are read during the visit, then forgotten. No cookie, no tracking from one site to another.

The questions you ask are free-form: avoid including information about your health or data that could identify other people (full name, contact details). We do not answer health questions.

Why we use it

  • To create and manage your account, calculate your charts and provide the services you request or order: this is the performance of the contract between us (terms and conditions of sale).
  • To issue and keep invoices: this is a legal obligation.
  • To keep the service secure, prevent abuse and measure audience anonymously: this is our legitimate interest.

We do not sell your data, we do not run targeted advertising, and we make no automated decisions about you beyond the texts you ask for.

Where your data goes

  • Hostinger (servers in France) hosts the site and Zodiac Intelligence, and therefore your account, your birth data, your questions and your answers.
  • Stancer (France) processes payments.
  • DeepSeek writes the texts from the calculations. For a question, it receives the text of your question and the calculated elements of your sky (positions, periods), without your name, your email address or your birth data. DeepSeek processes this data in China, a country that does not benefit from a European Union adequacy decision. This is why we ask you not to include in your questions any information that could identify you or other people.
  • Our email-sending provider [TO BE COMPLETED: name and country] receives your email address and the content of the messages (login codes, personalised horoscope, delivery notices).

How long we keep it

  • Your account, your birth data, your questions and your reports: as long as your account exists. An account with no login for 3 years is deleted, after a warning email. [TO BE IMPLEMENTED: this automatic deletion does not exist yet.]
  • Your orders and invoices: 10 years, as required by law.
  • Audience measurements: 13 months at most.
  • Technical security logs: 12 months at most.

Cookies and storage in your browser

We use two cookies, both essential:

  • ap_session keeps you logged in for 30 days at most. It is used for nothing else.
  • ap_langue remembers the language you chose, for one year at most, to show you the site in that language.

Your browser also keeps, in its local storage, your first name and the fact that you are logged in, so the page displays faster.

Audience measurement uses no cookie. It stores two random numbers in your browser, which disappear when you close the tab, and a third one, kept for 13 months at most and never extended, used only to know whether you come back to the site. Country and city are looked up in a database installed on our own server (IP Geolocation by DB-IP): your address is sent to no one. These measurements are used only to count visits to this site, never to follow you elsewhere. They stop by themselves if your browser asks not to be tracked, and you can refuse them at any time with this button:

There are no advertising cookies and no tracking tools from any other company: no consent banner is therefore needed.

Your rights

You can at any time request access to your data, its rectification, erasure or portability, restriction of its processing, or object to processing based on our legitimate interest. Write to contact@pascal-latil.fr from your account’s email address; we reply within one month. Some birth data can no longer be edited in Zodiac Intelligence once confirmed: to correct it, write to us.

If you believe your rights are not being respected, you can lodge a complaint with the CNIL (www.cnil.fr).

Age

AstroPredict is reserved for adults.

Changes

This policy may change. The date of the last update appears at the bottom of the page; in the event of an important change, we will notify you by email.
