Transits

Today’s planets laid over your birth chart: what is being activated in your life, and for how long.

What is it?

A transit is a planet in the current sky making an aspect to a point in your birth chart: Saturn crossing your Sun, Jupiter trining your Venus. Each transit has a start date, a date when it is exact and an end date.

The fast planets (Moon, Mercury, Venus, Sun, Mars) colour the days and weeks. The slow planets (Jupiter, Saturn, Uranus, Neptune, Pluto) mark periods of several months, sometimes several years.

What it’s for

  • See the major periods of your life coming, with their dates
  • Choose the right moment for a step, a project or a decision
  • Understand why a period weighs on you or carries you
  • Follow the daily sky against your own chart, not just your sign

Frequently asked questions

Which transits matter most?

Those of the slow planets to your personal points (Sun, Moon, Ascendant, Midheaven): they last a long time and mark turning points. Fast transits mostly set the tone of the days.

What is the difference between transits and progressions?

Transits use the real sky of the moment. Progressions move your chart forward symbolically, one day for one year: they describe your slower inner evolution.

Does the personal horoscope use transits?

Yes: AstroPredict’s personal horoscope is built from the day’s transits to your birth chart, recalculated every night.
